St Bede’s Catholic College in Manchester held a special leavers’ ball this term for the Upper Sixth, writes Tony Hennigan. Some of the pupils had been at the college and prep school for 14 years.

They celebrated the end of their school days with their teachers in the Citizens’ Suite at the City of Manchester Stadium. After arriving in vintage limousines, a party bus and a truck, all 170 guests sat down to a delicious three-course meal.

During dinner the stunning vocalist Georgia Holland treated guests to smooth classics.

Philippe Lopeman, head boy, and Zoe Li, head girl, reflected on their happy years at St Bede’s.
