Students arrived at Farnborough Hill in Hampshire last week to discover that A-level results were outstanding, with 100 per cent pass rate and over half of all the results at A*/A grade. Over 11 per cent of the results were at the new elite mark of A* which has been introduced this year to pick out the brightest students.
