Children in Years 3 and 4 at Stonyhurst St Mary’s Hall in Lancashire began the autumn term with a trip to the past, wearing Victorian clothes on a visit to the Bolton Steam Museum.
They were lucky enough to see the steam engines working, and then went to Bolton Hospital, a former Victorian workhouse.
Class teachers Jo Riley and Pippa Taylor said: “The visit really reinforced their Victorian history topic, which will continue with a ‘Workhouse Week’ later in the term!”
Stonyhurst St Mary’s Hall is for pupils aged three to 13.
