I can understand parishoners wanting to keep their priest and a priest not wanting to retire. I feel for both sides but I also wonder about the ego’s involved on all sides. Can’t Father Bob retire and still serve and be active? Couldn’t he do this with a bit of grace and couldn’t the powers above figure out how to do that?
