The final cardinal-elector, Cardinal Pham Minh Man, arrives at the Vatican (AP)
The last cardinal-elector arrived in Rome yesterday, enabling the College of Cardinals to set the date of the conclave.
Some Italian journalists have the minutes of the cardinals’ General Congregation meetings, Sister Mary Ann Walsh, the US bishops’ media relations director, has said.
Cardinal Marc Ouellet’s former spokesman has criticised the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests for naming the cardinal on its “Dirty Dozen” list.
The University of Notre Dame has said that Cardinal Timothy Dolan is scheduled to give its commencement address on May 19.
Despite the media blackout Cardinal Dolan was able to give another of his daily radio briefings from Rome yesterday (audio).
