Pope Francis has urged consecrated men and women not to become distracted by technology.
In a homily for the feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the World Day for Consecrated Life, the Pope said: “May we never look at the screen of our mobile phone more than the eyes of our brothers or sisters, or focus more on our software than on the Lord.” He added: “Today’s frantic pace leads us to close many doors to encounter, often for fear of others.”
Chicago church given Kolbe relic
A relic of St Maximilian Kolbe, who died at Auschwitz concentration camp after volunteering to take another prisoner’s place of, has been installed in St Ita parish in Chicago.
The relic, a piece of hair, is from Niepokalanów in Poland.
