Archbishop Kelly of Liverpool has reversed the usual order of sacraments in his diocese

Archbishop Patrick Kelly of Liverpool blesses children from the parish of St Justin in Rafidia, a northern suburb of Nablus in the Palestinian territories, during a pastoral visit on January 9. He told parishioners: ‘We are here to be with you in solidarity, but also to encourage you to build bridges. We all bring our sorrows, but we can transform them.’

Archbishop Kelly prepares himself to take a shot in a youth centre in Rafidia. The founding of the centre, next to the church of St Justin in Rafidia, has been funded by Catholics in Liverpool and the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. Fr Johnny Abu-Khalil, parish priest of St Justin, said: ‘This youth centre will help young people stay in Palestine.’
